Summary

Nursery Room Leader | Up to £34,000 | 40 Hours Per Week

Our client is seeking a passionate, experienced Nursery Room Leader to join a warm and nurturing early years team based in a beautiful, purpose-built nursery. Set in a spacious environment with a forest school and large garden, this service offers children the freedom to explore, play, and thrive in nature — and they’re looking for a dedicated early years professional to help lead the way.

As a Nursery Room Leader, you will take charge of a specific age group room, guiding a team of practitioners to deliver a rich, child-centred curriculum. This is a full-time, permanent position (40 hours per week), perfect for someone who is confident, nurturing, and excited by the opportunity to grow within a supportive and forward-thinking setting.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) – essential.
  • Proven experience working in a nursery setting, ideally in a supervisory or room leader role.
  • A genuine passion for early childhood education and outdoor learning.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A collaborative approach, with a commitment to inclusive, child-centred practice.

Why Join This Nursery?

  • Heavily discounted childcare for your own little ones.
  • Access to a wellbeing programme and mental health support.
  • Employee benefits portal with high street discounts and more.
  • Generous annual leave allowance.
  • Ongoing training and career progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of practitioners to deliver outstanding care and learning experiences in line with the EYFS.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child can flourish.
  • Build strong relationships with families, children, and colleagues.
  • Oversee planning, observations, and assessments to support every child’s development.
  • Support and mentor team members, promoting high standards of practice and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure compliance with safeguarding and nursery policies.
