Summary
KS2 Learning Support Assistant (Full time)
Start date: 1st September 2025
Fixed Term ContractWe are looking to appoint a patient, energetic and enthusiastic Learning Support to join our hard working and dedicated team in KS2, in our thriving, small, village primary school. The successful candidate will support teaching and learning in a Year 5/6 class in the morning and for targeted children in a Year 3/4 Class in the afternoon, in particular giving support to children with additional needs. JOB REQUIREMENTS • Be able to work alongside the class teacher to deliver excellent teaching and learning and support children with additional needs
• Give evidence of pupils’ progress to support teacher assessment
• Help supervise KS1 and 2 children over the lunchtime period
• Maintain a safe and positive environment for all pupils
• Create opportunities for all learners to reach their full potential, irrespective of abilityThe successful candidate must: • Be caring, patient and supportive with a positive attitude
• Have the ability to work well within a team and use their own initiative
• Desirable, to have previous experience of working with primary age children, in particular children with additional special needs
• Level 3 NVQ with child/education studies or equivalent desired but not essential for the right candidate.We will offer: • A supportive and experienced staff team, with a recent Good Ofsted.
