Summary
We are excited to be working with an SEMH school in Sevenoaks/Tonbridge who are looking to recruit 2 x Behaviour specialist Teaching Assistant to start throughout September into October.
The school supports students aged 10-19 with SEMH and ADHD. The environment can be very challenging in terms of behaviour however the senior leadership team look to promote staff members that work hard and make a lasting positive impact on their student's. There are huge opportunities to progress. They now also cover Primary and younger Key stages.
You can be based both on site in Sevenoaks and may be working with students offsite when required. Own transport is important due to the rural location.
The positions will start on a temporary basis with the option of going permanent after a number of weeks working with the school through Classroom Support.
It is essential that you have some of the the below experience:
Experience of supporting children/young adults with challenging behaviour
A keen understanding of being able to create bonds with students that have had challenging backgrounds and to be able to quickly build trust
Worked within a Pupil Referral unit or SEN setting previously is advantageous
Experience supporting students within SEN school's or candidates with a mental health support/young offender's background would be strong candidates
Being of a firm nature when necessary
Any experience of positive handling training is highly advantageous but not necessary
Solid knowledge and experience supporting student who have been in the care system in 1:1 or group settings is also advantageous
The rate of pay is £90 per day + for the right candidates. Temp to perm options also once settled at the school.

You must;
Be able to commit to the working hours of 8.30am - 3.30pm.
Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to pay for a DBS with a children's barred list check.
No recent criminal convictions/cautions.
