Summary
Job Title: Truck and Trailer Hygiene Operative
Reporting to: Transport Manager
Key tasks within the job:
• Washing of vehicles and trailers using chemicals, whilst following strict safety guidelines. Including the use of pressure washer.
• Completion of photographic records to show trailer washing records.
• Sorting of chemicals ready for use for washing.
• This role also involves management of weed killing around the area of the RDC front, rear and side of building, the lorry and trailer park opposite RDC, the sides of the tray shed and in between the tray shed and pack hall.
• Conducting of in cab audits on the tablet system as and when required.
• Assisting with unloading of incoming retail trays when required
Job Requirements / Training Requirements:
• Must complete company provided chemical training.
• Must be able to keep accurate records of vehicles cleaned therefore must be literate in English both spoken and written.
• Full training will be provided for this, this involves a 2-day course and the correct PPE must be worn at all times.
• Training for use of pressure washer must be completed, prior to commencement of role.
• All training will be given on the use of the equipment, chemicals and the use of a tablet for record keeping.
Job Type: Permanent
Hours per week: 50 Hours per week.
Working Times: 06:00am – 16:30pm Monday to Friday - Extra hours to be worked over the Christmas Period, including weekend work
Pay Rate: £13.05 per hour during probation and £13.40 per hour after a successful probationary period.
