Summary

1. To undertake the full range of teaching duties, module leadership and other administrative duties commensurate with the post, on the Social Work course and other undergraduate and postgraduate courses as required, at a variety of teaching locations. 2. To act as a course leader within the School of Health & Wellbeing as opportunities arise. 3. To fulfil a highly effective personal academic tutor role, actively contributing to the process of monitoring and supporting students across the Department. 4. To engage in personal and professional development, including active engagement in scholarship, CPD and professional activity. 5. To participate in student recruitment and marketing of courses within the department, by engaging in shortlisting, interviews open events, taster sessions and outreach work. 6. For Lecturer (standard academic): To actively engage in a full range of research and knowledge exchange activities commensurate with career stage, including collaborations with colleagues within the school, the wider university, and external institutions. 7. To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Head of Department, Deputy Head or Head of School. 8. Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job; participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support staff in their development and training. 9. Take steps to ensure and enhance personal health, safety, and well-being and that of other staff and students. 10. Carry out these duties in a manner that promotes equality of opportunity and supports diversity and inclusion and takes into account the University's commitment to environmentally sustainable ways of working.
