About the Role

This primary school is looking for a skilled and compassionate SEMH Teacher to join their dedicated team. You'll lead a small, specialist class supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs. The role focusses on developing a bespoke learning environment where pupils can flourish both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

*Deliver a tailored curriculum that meets the needs of SEMH pupils
*Foster a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom culture
*Promote positive behaviour, self-esteem and emotional resilience
*Collaborate with school staff, families and external agencies
*Track progress and support each child's personal and academic development

What This School Is Looking For

*A qualified teacher (QTS) with a passion for SEMH education
*Experience working with children facing emotional and behavioural challenges
*An empathetic and resilient approach to classroom management
*Ability to adapt teaching methods to individual pupils' needs
*Enthusiasm for creating an engaging and therapeutic learning space
*The right to work in the UK (NO VISA SPONSORSHIP)
*Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willing to apply for one through Hays with no upfront cost
