Our Delivery Managers play a critical role helping deliver justice. if you’re customer focussed, intent on delivering excellent service, enthusiastic about leading and motivating a team, then this role gives you the opportunity to play a pivotal role in North Group in London Magistrates cluster, based at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court.

About your role
North Group in London Magistrates cluster sits within HMCTS’ London region, led by our Cluster Manager, supported by the Operations Manager and Court Delivery Managers.
You’re responsible for the smooth running of North Group of Magistrates cluster, leading your team and supporting your Cluster Manager and Cluster Operations Manager to meet operational needs, deliver cluster performance objectives and provide a consistent and customer-focused service.
You’re able to maintain positive and effective working relationships with the judiciary, supporting agencies, voluntary and user groups and strive for continuous improvement to improve operational efficiency, working with agencies to improve service levels. You’re familiar with work environments that are process and compliance driven and able to constructively manage complaints and complete corrective actions within set timescales. You understand the importance of Health and Safety, IT/Workstation compliance and identifying and escalating any Court facilities issues to HMCTS Estates teams.

Are you a hands-on problem solver with the ability to engage with people at all levels and to deliver excellent service through effectively leading a team? Are you able to reflect on an issue and take a collaborative and diplomatic approach to your work? If you do, this varied and challenging role is for you. A confident communicator, you will use your skills and abilities to effectively work and engage with all court users, lead the team and set local priorities and objectives aligned to national/regional strategies and plans.
Driven by your enthusiasm to provide excellent customer service through your team, you know that employee engagement, morale and motivation is key to delivering a highly effective performance. You’re able to give direction and close support to managers to develop their team plans to form part of the overall business plan for the cluster, making sure that targets are met, and the team is resourced and trained effectively to meet your allocated budget, identifying and implementing solutions to local problems.

These operational roles are customer facing, requiring successful applicants to be office based to provide HMCTS services to the public.
Standard full time working hours are 37 hours per week. HMCTS welcomes part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns, where they meet the demands of the role and business needs and are agreed prior to appointment. All applications for part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns will be considered in accordance with the MoJ’s Flexible Working policy.
Location
Whilst the post holder will be allocated to a specific office base, there may be a need for flexibility to work on an ad hoc or regular basis at other local HMCTS sites / courts within the group. Where applicable, associated travel cost / time will be applied in line with organisational policies.
Saturday Working & Bank Holidays
These roles may require you to work Saturdays and/or Bank Holidays. Your working pattern will be confirmed by your line manager and on the occasions, you are required to work Saturdays and/or Bank Holidays you will be allocated a day off in lieu based on business needs. There is no requirement to work Sundays.
