About the role:
justteachers are currently looking to recruit a Year 2 teacher to work on a part-time basis within a partner primary school from September.
This long-term role would suit an experienced KS1 teacher who is unable to commit to full time hours.
The school is renowned for its strong community ethos, excellent leadership, and a commitment to providing the best possible outcomes for its pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
• Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress in accordance with school policy
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Work closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to support all learners
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
• Contribute to wider school life and ongoing improvement initiatives
The ideal candidate:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Recent experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
• An understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Two education or school-based references
