Summary


We are looking to appoint a number of enthusiastic individuals to join our established team of on-call crisis workers at SAFE Place, our Merseyside Sexual Assault Referral Centre site in Liverpool.

The post holder will provide crisis management for patients that attend the Centre for a forensic medical examination outside of normal office hour

Candidates must also be aware that there is a future requirement for all SARC staff to provide a DNA sample for elimination purposes.



This is a bank contract offering on-call services 24 hours a day across a variety of shifts. £14.51 per on call shift and £14.15 per hour call out
and telephone calls.

The out of hours crisis workers will work on a rota basis between the hours of:7pm and 8am Monday-Friday on call from home.8am-4pm, 4pm – Midnight on Saturday, Sunday, and Public Holidays on call from home. The post holder would be expected to work a minimum of 4 on call shifts per month

The post holder will provide telephone support and information and crisis management to clients attending for a forensic medical examination.

The successful applicants will receive full training to enable them to provide crisis support to adults and young people attending for forensic examination/medical assessment and out of hours telephone support and information.

You will have some previous experience of working with people in a supportive role. You will have some understanding of safeguarding and possess a calming influence in stressful crisis situations. You must be highly organised, self motivated and able to work effectively on your own initiative as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. You must be able to attend the SAFE Place Merseyside within 30-60 minutes of a call out, be able to drive and have a clean driving license.
