OPPORTUNITY
We are now recruiting a JUNIOR ENGINEER to develop and grow within our highly knowledgeable Engineering team, in a role that will literally take you out of this world! Your contributions will protect and connect people around the globe and into space for our defence, aerospace and telecommunication customers.
In this developmental, hands-on role, you’ll work both under the supervision of and independently, with experienced multi-discipline engineers. You’ll complete a range of on & off the job competency activities and responsibilities, enabling you to develop your engineering knowledge, skills and experience, contributing even more.
Every day will be different and your key responsibilities will include:
Developing competence to use key engineering systems and processes.
Working with others to complete technical quotations and designs.
Attending and contributing to technical and design for manufacturing reviews.
Contributing to assigned personal and projects for other engineers.
Completing engineering designs, problem identifying and resolving.
Completing data analysis and input and preparing reports.
To be successful, you’ll ideally have:
A degree in an electronics or electrical engineering background.
Work experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment, including:
• Collaborating in a team environment to complete projects.
• Researching topics, writing reports and making recommendations.
• Analysis and problem solving, meeting defined engineering goals and identifying options to resolve problems and challenges.
• Engineering component design understanding and application.
• Make positive teamwork contributions to deliver continuous improvement and meet demanding targets.
And as importantly, a thirst for knowledge, continuous improvement, logical thinking and teamwork.
You must also be a UK or NATO citizen with the right to work in the UK.
