Summary
Female Personal Assistant (Carer) for Wheelchair User
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands (B44)
Part-Time | Flexible Hours | Immediate Start- Rate of Pay: £12.50/hour
Female-only role in accordance with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010
This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check, and reference checks.
Main Responsibilities (may vary day to day)
• Support with shopping, household tasks, prescriptions, and phone calls
• Accompany the employer to visit her daughter and attend appointments
• Be present for social outings and leisure activities, offering thoughtful companionship
• Maintain a person-centred approach, safeguarding dignity, privacy, and emotional wellbeing
About the Role
• No prior care experience required, but a sincere interest in supporting disabled adults is essential
• Calm, capable, and emotionally aware; able to work independently and take initiative
• Discreet and mindful—no job-related social media use
• Strong sense of safety and common-sense awareness of surroundings
• Respectful of privacy, autonomy, and the emotional realities of support work
