Location: Luton, Bedfordshire
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to manage and drive the priorities of their Safeguarding Adults Board. This role supports multi-agency safeguarding partnerships to meet statutory duties under the Care Act 2014 and improve safeguarding outcomes for adults across the Borough.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate the Safeguarding business functions, including governance, strategic planning, and statutory reviews (e.g. SARs).
Work alongside the Independent Chair to monitor effectiveness of safeguarding arrangements across partner agencies.
Publish the Safeguarding Annual Report and Strategic Plan, ensuring clear performance analysis and accountability.
Oversee communications, policy development, and engagement with diverse community stakeholders.
Manage staff and budgets within the Safeguarding Business Unit and liaise with senior leaders across the public and voluntary sectors.
Essential Requirements:
Significant experience in adult safeguarding leadership roles and interagency collaboration.
Strong project and performance management skills.
Knowledge of Care Act 2014, safeguarding legislation, and co-production principles.
Excellent strategic communication and report-writing skills.
Ability to influence across senior stakeholders and drive systems-level improvements.
Desirable:Experience with SARs or statutory inspection frameworks (e.g., CQC), and professional qualifications in social care or health.
