Now is a great time to join our team as a Clinical Practice Educator in Urgent and Emergency Care at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. This is a newly created post to support the Practice Based Educator.
We are looking for an experienced registered health care professional including allied health and registered nurses who are committed to working to deliver an excellent, caring service to our patients.
You will work with the current PBE Urgent and Emergency Care team to support, develop and deliver a coordinated and systematic approach to practice development and establish evidence into practice.
Facilitating the professional and personal development of staff within Urgent and Emergency Care to improve the quality of patient care highlight learning needs in conjunction with Team Leaders, Unit Managers and Matrons.
As a specialist in education and practice development, you will support other members of the team including junior and senior staff and be professional accountability to the Matrons and the Head of Nursing. Providing assurance high standards of patient focused, evidenced-based care is paramount.
You will act as a resource for clinical expertise and maintain clinical skills by undertaking regular 1:1 clinical practice supporting members of the team.
In addition you will contribute towards the management of the unit/department. Provide Professional, leadership and support. Actively promote practice and educational development at departmental level.

Applicants are expected to have a background in emergency and urgent care and have additional skills in immediate management of acutely unwell patients, qualifications in resuscitation and a teaching qualification would be advantageous.
This role will cover all Urgent and Emergency Care services in the Trust.
