Summary


The successful candidate will work with all staff, across both community hospital and community-based settings, to deliver safeguarding adults’ complex case work. They will have excellent verbal, written communication and analytical skills to lead on monitoring and evaluating the quality and effectiveness of training, data collation, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

They will carry out training on topics relevant to the safeguarding adults’ agenda including the Mental Capacity Act (2005), Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (2007), Care Act (2014) and Prevent (2015). In addition, they will also possess excellent skills to support the detailed analysis of adult safeguarding concerns, information gathering, and writing health enquiry reports.

Have the ability to demonstrate a good understanding of roles and responsibilities within the health and social care environment is paramount, and when required they will participate in joint working with key stakeholders such as patients/clients using services and statutory and voluntary organisations within the area.

The post holder will advise SCFT staff on their statutory and legislative duties for all aspects of Adult Safeguarding as stipulated in primary legislation, government strategy, national, regional, and local guidance. Offering highly specialist advice, support and mentorship to service leads on prevention, concerns and Enquiries, promoting a positive quality culture in which continuous improvement in clinical care is sought and achieved.
