Whether you prefer daylight drops or quiet overnight trunking, there’s a shift pattern here to suit your style.
What You’ll Be Doing
Day Shifts
Work includes general haulage runs in a curtainsider trailer
Usually 2–3 drops per shift, with the occasional collection
Well-planned routes, no silly multi-drops, and minimal waiting around
Night Shifts
Simple depot-to-depot trunk runs
No loading or unloading — just clean, straightforward work
Ideal if you like to get your head down and crack on
Shifts generally run Monday to Friday, with optional weekend overtime during peak periods.
Pay Rates
Day Shift (approx. 06:00 start)
PAYE: £16.50 per hour
PAYE Umbrella: £21.00 per hour
Night Shift (approx. 18:00 start)
PAYE: £17.50 per hour
PAYE Umbrella: £22.00 per hour
What You’ll Need
Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
Up-to-date Driver CPC and Digi Card
Minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience
No more than 6 points on your licence (minor endorsements only)
