Summary
As a Deputy Manager you will support the Nursery Manager in the effective daily management of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care, education, and safety for children aged 0-5 years. To lead and motivate staff, implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, and build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and external agencies.
Skills:
• Effective verbal communicator with all parties, including child, parent/carer, and colleagues.
• Ability to produce well-written reports and maintain clear accurate records
• Effective team player
• Strong leadership skills
• Good time management, organisational skills and good IT skills,
• A positive, pro-active and solution-based approach to leadership.
• Empathy & understanding
• Ability to work on own initiative
Qualification and experience:
• Minimum level 3 qualification in Early Years or higher
• Paediatric First Aid, Food Safety, Allergens, H&S, Prevent, Safeguarding DSL
• Good knowledge of EYFS requirements
• Good knowledge of OFSTED requirements
• Good Knowledge of Health & Safety at Work
• Extensive Knowledge of Safeguarding
Primary duties:
• Undertake appropriate Risk Assessments to ensure the Health and Safety of the setting; children in occupation; staff and visitors
• Develop and maintain good parent relations
• Liaise with the Customer Engagement Manager in developing and hosting parent engagement initiatives.
• Maintain Policies & Procedures in Nursery.
• Undertake other reasonable duties related to the job purpose required from time to time across the Company
Job Type: We are open 52 weeks of the year. This position is for all year round, 4 days, 7:30am-6:30pm. You will be a room based Deputy.
