Summary
Senior Tendering Application Engineer
This company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tendering Application Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the Grid Solutions business, you will play a pivotal role in preparing bids for high-voltage AC and DC substations, offshore wind farms, battery energy storage, and green hydrogen production projects.
The Senior Tendering Application Engineer will be responsible for leading a diverse team of designers and engineers, collaborating closely with bid managers to develop winning strategies and technical solutions. Your deep understanding of high-voltage AC substation design, primary plant, protection, control/SCADA, and substation integration will be essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive bid submissions for various grid infrastructure projects, including detailed technical specifications, schedules, and cost analyses.
- Provide expert technical expertise and analysis to define and optimize product selection, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
- Develop and document technical solutions that address the company's customers' needs, leveraging your in-depth knowledge of the industry and market trends.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the commercial team to ensure the technical aspects of the bids are aligned with the company's overall strategy and policies.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to propose innovative solutions within the given parameters.
- Effectively communicate technical information to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a seamless bidding process.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Power Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the engineering/technology and customer application engineering fields, preferably in the transmission and/or distribution industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in high-voltage AC substation design, primary plant, protection, control/SCADA, and substation integration.
- Familiarity with wind farm and/or HVDC design is highly desirable.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to analyze and resolve complex technical problems.
- Exceptional project management and documentation skills to meet tight delivery schedules.
