Job Title: Maths Teacher
Location: Parkside House School, Backworth, NE27 0AB
Salary: Up to £44,000.00 per annum depending upon experience (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.15am – 3.45pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

About the Role
We’re looking for a dynamic, creative, and motivated Maths Teacher who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people with autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs.
This is not your typical teaching role. At Outcomes First Group, we empower our teachers to think outside the box, using a wide range of resources and specialist support to deliver engaging, individualised learning that truly meets the needs of each pupil.
You will:
Plan and deliver innovative and inspiring Maths lessons tailored to individual learning needs
Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity and enthusiasm for Maths
Monitor and assess student progress, placing equal emphasis on personal development and wellbeing
Contribute to the wider vision and direction of the school, especially around developing the Maths curriculum
Work closely with our leadership team to raise standards and nurture a positive, inclusive culture

We’re looking for someone who is:
A qualified teacher with QTS or a degree in Mathematics
Experienced (or keen to develop) in working with students with autism, learning difficulties, or complex needs
A confident communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment
Committed to creating a safe, supportive, and inspiring learning environment
Flexible, proactive, and reflective in their practice

About Us
Parkside House School is an Independent Special School. Our school aims to provide a high-quality education package to pupils who have difficulties in relating to education or others within a mainstream setting.
The school is registered to accommodate 35 pupils from 10 – 18 years; we specialise in teaching pupils with Emotional, Social and Behavioural needs, and with other associated learning and cognitive difficulties.
The aim of the site is to provide enough support to unlock each pupil’s potential so they can live fulfilling and productive lives. We provide young people with as much freedom as possible in a safe and supervised environment. This is achievable due to the dedication and support from a range of employed professionals who are passionate, reliable, and understanding.
