Summary
Provide expert clinical support to patients with cancer, including managing oncological emergencies and symptoms. Deliver direct patient care, ensuring holistic assessments, personalised care plans, and patient education. Lead the development and delivery of the acute oncology service, ensuring best practices are followed. Offer guidance and education to nursing and medical teams on acute oncology conditions and treatments. Participate in audits and research initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery. Provide leadership in acute oncology management, supporting patients, their families, and the multidisciplinary team. Lead and contribute to the continuous improvement of patient care pathways and clinical protocols.
