Summary

The Role: We are seeking a proactive and student-focused Learning Resources Centre Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will play a key role in supporting learners and staff by delivering a high-quality front-line service in our library and learning centre. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant learning environment and help students access the resources they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities: Provide front-line support at the library counter and IT service desk Assist users with accessing physical and digital resources Promote library collections and displays to sustain user engagement Support students with IT queries, printing, and accessing college systems Maintain knowledge of online and physical resources Assist with stock management, including shelving, repairs, and cataloguing Supervise students and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment
Who You Are: You will be educated to Level 3 or possess substantial experience working in a library setting. You will hold Level 2 or above qualifications in English and Maths and demonstrate excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual learning environments. Your strong communication and interpersonal abilities will enable you to work effectively within a team and manage behaviour in a busy learning environment. You will have a clear understanding of the needs of young people and adults in further education, along with a commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and safeguarding. Additionally, you will be aware of GDPR and data protection responsibilities relevant to the role.
