Summary
Shottermill Infant School is looking to appoint a new Caretaker to join our friendly school. As our Caretaker, you will be responsible for ensuring that the school remains clean, safe and secure for all our learners, staff and visitors. This will involve carrying out a range of repairs and maintenance tasks, carrying out daily cleaning, adhering to health and safety legislation and other tasks such as helping set up rooms or sorting deliveries. Induction training will be provided and there is the opportunity for further training and career development.
We would like someone who is enthusiastic, energetic, reliable and committed with a good level of DIY and cleaning skills. Basic carpentry/plumbing/electrical skills are not essential but would be looked upon favourably. The successful candidate should be able to prioritise, problem solve and communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of people. The ability to work effectively in a team with minimum supervision and to provide excellent customer service will be essential.Hours of work (16.0 hrs per week) are Monday to Friday: 7.30am-9.15am and 4.00pm-5.30pm. The salary range is within the Surrey Pay band PS3.3 (£24,331FTE) and the actual salary for these hours is £10,813.78 p.a. Holiday entitlement is 24 days annual leave and 8 days statutory bank holidays. Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme is also offered.
