Summary

Are you a resilient, compassionate, and adaptable teacher ready to make a difference in the lives of young people who need it most?

We’re recruiting for SEMH Teachers to work across Alternative Provisions (APs), SEMH schools, and specialist settings throughout Nottingham. These roles involve working with students who present with social, emotional and mental health needs, and may also display challenging behaviour, attachment difficulties, or be at risk of exclusion.

We’re looking for exceptional teachers who can build trust, set clear boundaries, and create engaging, supportive environments where every learner can thrive.

About the Roles:

  • Positions available across KS1–Post-16


  • Teach small groups or 1:1 in Alternative Provisions, SEMH schools, and specialist units


  • Support students with a wide range of needs, including:

    • SEMH and behavioural difficulties


    • Trauma, adverse childhood experiences (ACE)


    • ADHD, autism and anxiety-related needs


    • Low self-esteem, school refusal and attachment disorders



    • Flexible opportunities – long-term, short-term, or day-to-day cover


    • Roles starting September 2025, with schools keen to interview now
