Summary
At GI Group, we are currently recruiting for Class 1 drivers for our client in Coventry, CV6. With a focus on reliability and excellence in service, we are currently seeking a dedicated Class 1 Driver's to join us today for long-term work.
Overview:
* You will be specialising in Class 1 transport, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of goods.
* You will be responsible for transporting goods to and from designated locations.
* You must adhere to all road safety regulations and maintain high standards of professionalism.
Class 1 - Shifts and Hours:
* Monday to Friday (weekend work available)
* Start Times: 05:00-06:00am
Class 1- Rates of Pay:
* Monday to Friday - £17.93 with holiday pay included (PAYE)
* Saturday - £19.05 with holiday pay included (PAYE)
* Sunday - £20.17 with holiday pay included (PAYE)
Class 1 - Key Responsibilities:
1. Safely operate and drive Class 1 vehicles
2. Ensure the secure loading and unloading of containers, adhering to safety guidelines.
3. Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery schedules and meet customer requirements.
4. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues promptly.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
6. Communicate effectively with dispatch, colleagues, and customers.
7. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and all relevant legislation.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Valid Class 1 driving license with relevant certifications.
2. Clean driving record and a commitment to safe driving practices.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
5. Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
