Summary

Calderdale’s School Organisation and Access Team is part of the Education and Inclusion Service for the Children and Young People’s Service’s Directorate. The team deals with a broad range of school admission, school organisational and planning issues. The team manages the Authority’s PFI contract cover 5 schools, and is responsible for supporting the Department for Education in the delivering of the School Rebuilding Programme in Calderdale. The team prioritise Capital investment for a range of issues – building condition, sufficiency of places etc, and lead on proposals for the expansion or consolidation of provision.


We are seeking an individual to support the day-to-day operations of our School Organisation and Access Team. This vital role will also involve supporting and deputising for the School Organisation and Access Manager in the day to day operation of services and the development of long-term strategy and planning initiatives.


We are looking for a highly organised, proactive, and committed individual that can thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, who will enjoy making a tangible impact on school provision across Calderdale.


We are looking for a candidate educated to degree level or with experience in this field of work.


You will have proven organisational and time management skills and a track record of managing competing priorities. The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities and be self-motivated. A team-focused approach is required to deliver the highest levels of service and consistency and attention to detail are essential attributes.


Excellent verbal and written communications skills will be required to successfully deliver this role.
