Summary
Safely operate a Class 1 HGV vehicle over various distances, including long-haul trips.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any issues and performing basic maintenance.
Assist with or supervise the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring they are secured properly.
Interact with customers at delivery and collection points, providing excellent service and building relationships.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, driving hours, and any necessary paperwork.
Adhere to all traffic regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, other team members, and customers.
Prioritize safety in all aspects of the job, including driving, loading, and unloading.
