This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week.
A temporary Recruitment and Retention Premia of £3,500 per annum is attached to this post, which is a separate payment in addition to the normal salary. A review of market conditions will be carried out 6 months prior to the proposed end date to establish if the Recruitment and Retention Premia should continue.
Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at one of our college campuses in Weston-super-Mare.
Day to day duties of the role
- Providing high-quality, innovative teaching, learning, assessment, and internal moderation across a range of work-based learning courses from Level 2-6 in alignment with awarding organisations and/or IfATE standards.
- Produce bespoke apprenticeship Career Development Plans that include individual development and industry enrichment, ensuring employers are involved in creating and updating these through participation in reviews of progress.
- Identify the starting points of learners accurately and develop programmes that support individual growth, including the development of English and maths, wider skills.
- Prepare learners for End Point Assessment (EPA) by developing and delivering formative assessment throughout the program, ensuring engagement of their employer to support achievement at EPA.
Required skills and qualifications
- Relevant occupational experience and knowledge of the industry/sector.
- Experience of stakeholder management to evoke high levels of engagement, opportunity and productivity.
- Knowledge of work-based learning and apprenticeship provision.
- To be able to work unsupervised demonstrating self-management when under pressure and in demanding situations.
