Summary

Job Title: KS3-KS5 Teacher

Location: Exeter

Contract Type: Full-time

Start Date: September 2025

Job Purpose:

To deliver outstanding teaching and learning across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, supporting students' academic progress and personal development. The role includes planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student work, and contributing to the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students across KS3-KS5.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND and EAL.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
  • Prepare students for internal and external assessments, including GCSEs and A-Levels.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
  • Participate in school events, enrichment activities, and parents' evenings.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practice.


Essentials:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in a relevant subject area.
  • Experience teaching across KS3-KS5.
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum requirements.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience with exam board specifications and assessment frameworks.
  • Ability to contribute to extracurricular or pastoral programmes.
  • Familiarity with digital learning platforms and blended learning approaches.
