Summary

We're looking for an experienced, motivated Painter and Decorator with a passion for customer service to join our Trades team.

Salary: £30,818 - £33,997 per year
Location: Scottish Borders
Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, with occasional stand-by hours
Contract: Permanent
Closing Date: Monday 18 August, 9.00am

Do you have excellent customer service skills with a passion to deliver a first-class service? We’re looking for motivated and effective team players with great problem-solving skills, who are committed to delivering high quality repairs and improvement works for our Tenants.

Job Overview:
The successful candidate will deliver excellent painting and decorating work across our varied housing stock, carrying out repairs, maintenance, cyclical works, and planned upgrades. You will work both independently and as part of a supportive team, adhering to health and safety standards, working efficiently to agreed timescales, and always focusing on delivering a high-quality service to our Tenants.

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- City and Guilds Level 2 in qualification or equivalent trade qualification, or equivalent through training and experience
- Must be a time-served Painter and Decorator
- Able to demonstrate all round skills applicable to the trade
- Able to carry out work with the minimum of supervision
- Able to carry out duties to a high-quality standard with the minimum disruption to Tenants and neighbours
- Able to adapt to different situations and problem solve
- Excellent communication interpersonal skills
- Customer-focused approached to delivering services
- Awareness of health and safety practices in domestic environments
- Reliable, punctual and responsible
- Understand and respects equality and diversity
- Holder of a current UK driving licence
