Summary

Kick-start your career with a paid summer placement at FM Conway, where you'll help shape the future of Brighton! This is your chance to gain hands-on experience with our Term Maintenance team, working on exciting projects, tackling real engineering challenges, and learning from experienced professionals in a supportive and dynamic environment.

This paid Summer Work Experience Placement will run for 3–4 weeks and is based at Valley Gardens in Brighton. The placement can take place at any time during August or September 2025.

The duties of the Summer Work Experience Placement will include:

-Supporting the Term Maintenance project teams with data collection, testing, and reporting

-Assisting with on site management tasks, such as quality assurance, setting out, identifying issues and proposing solutions

-Participating in site inspections alongside engineers

-Analysing the state of material supply, storage and recommending improvements

-Attending team meetings and collaborate with engineers

What skills and experience do you need?

We’re looking for a current undergraduate student studying Civil Engineering or Construction, although recent graduates in these fields are also welcome to apply. If you have a strong interest in practical, hands-on engineering and thrive in a project-based environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you. You’ll need solid problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively as part of a dynamic team.
