Summary
Our client, a leading manufacturer in the defence sector, is currently seeking an experienced IPC Wiring Technician to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled wiring professional with strong attention to detail and a passion for quality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble and install cable harnesses and wire assemblies to IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards
• Read and interpret complex wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings
• Perform crimping, stripping, soldering, lacing, and tinning
• Carry out continuity checks and functional testing using test meters
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and follow ESD-safe practices
• Accurately complete production and inspection documentation
• Work collaboratively with quality and engineering teams to resolve build issues
Candidate Requirements:
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification
• Proven experience in wiring, cable assembly, or harness building
• Ability to work from engineering drawings and build instructions
• Excellent hand skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of ESD safety and cleanroom procedures
• Previous experience in aerospace, defence, or medical sectors is a plus
