Summary

A Vacancy at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.

Are you looking to further your experience as a specialised paediatric dietitian whilst working as part of a dynamic forward thinking team in a tertiary children’s hospital? We are a large friendly department of dietitians, supported by dietetic support workers, Special Feed Unit staff and an administrative team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and pro-active renal paediatric dietitian to join our nephrology team as a permanent post holder. The post provides a renal nutrition service within our tertiary centre and as shared care across the South West region. The post holder will be involved in service development, as well as provide support and supervision to other members of the dietetic team.

To apply for this post, you will need clinical paediatric experience in this area alongside demonstrable leadership skills to ensure high standards of clinical care and knowledge for the development of this service. If you have clinical experience in renal paediatrics, but have less developed experience in other pillars of AHP practice (leadership, research, education), you could be considered on our Band 6 to 7 fast-track programme.

Our department is committed to student training, quality improvement, research and audit. All staff are supported with regular supervisory meetings. We pride ourselves on our excellent continuous professional development ideas.
Bristol is vibrant, fun city that is full of opportunities and a gateway to the South West.

We actively encourage you to contact us regarding queries for this post in advance. Please call 0117 342 8011 and ask to speak with Shelley Wills or Sarah Trace. Alternatively you could email Shelley Wills@uhbw.nhs.uk or sarah.trace@uhbw.nhs.uk. The closing date will be 10th August 25 and interviews are provisionally scheduled for 20th August 25. You will be expected to complete a 10 minute presentation and clinical case discussion as part of the interview process.
