Summary
Title: LGV Cat C (Class 2) Driver / HGV Driver The Best Connection Group Ltd are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-known and industry-leading client based in the Milton Keynes area. Were looking for HGV Class 2 (LGV C) Drivers to complement their operation by working up to 48 hours per week, covering Monday - Friday, with start time between 05:00 - 06:00. You will be delivering pre-build kitchen including white goods to customers and clients throughout the UK. This role involves making between 1 and 8 deliveries per day. Part of the job will include unloading stock from the vehicle using a tail lift and moving it by hand. A sack barrow will be provided to transport goods to the customers room of choice. Deliveries are completed as a double-person operation, requiring candidates to be physically capable and self-reliant.
Job Type Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate Pay Rates & Shifts Standard pay rate is £15.00 raising to £22.50 after 10hrs per day Pay increases after 12 weeks to £15.85 Shift start is between 5am and 6am Monday to Friday shifts which means no weekend work Average shifts are between 10-12 hours per day Qualifications A full UK driving licence with LGV Cat C entitlement A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC) Be in possession of a valid Digital Tachograph Card No more than 6 current penalty points No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years Responsibilities of a Delivery Driver Check the vehicle regularly and report any issues Drive safely and follow all traffic laws Use GPS or maps to find the best routes Load and unload items carefully to avoid damage Deliver goods on time, in full and to the correct address Communicate politely with customers Keep records of deliveries, mileage, and issues Report delays, accidents, or problems to your manager Other benefits of working for The Best Connection Group Limited includes: Possibility of ongoing temporary assignments or permanent positions after a qualifying period 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holidays and not rolled into the salary) Weekly pay Perks at Work scheme Online payslips Pension contribution
