About the role

We are looking for a Science Teacher with expertise in any of the three core sciences (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) to teach at a leading Leeds-based secondary school from September 2025. Full-time, this position will see you inspire KS3 and KS4 learners with possible KS5 teaching for the right candidate.

Essential Requirements
  • A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of current science curriculum and exam frameworks
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry or Physics
  • Deliver both theoretical and practical content
  • Use data to inform lesson planning and interventions
  • Conduct experiments safely with student engagement
  • Prepare resources and equipment for practical lessons
  • Assess student progress and provide clear feedback
  • Develop high-quality displays and learning materials
  • Organise science clubs or competitions
  • Stay current with developments in science education
  • Encourage participation in science fairs and trips
