Randstad Education is working closely with a number of inclusive and welcoming primary schools across West Sussex, who are looking for enthusiastic and proactive Teaching Assistants to join their teams. These schools offer a supportive environment, on-the-job training, and a clear pathway for development within education.

In this full-time, term-time position, you'll support pupils aged 4-11 in their academic and personal growth. Whether you have previous experience in education or a background in childcare or support work, this role could be your next meaningful career step.

Your role will include:
  • Supporting the class teacher with small group or 1:1 learning

  • Monitoring and reporting on student progress

  • Assisting with students' personal care and well-being needs

  • Promoting positive behaviour and a safe learning environment

  • Communicating with parents and school staff to support student development

What you'll need:
  • Experience working with children (school, nursery, childcare, etc.)

  • Grade C or above (or equivalent) in GCSE Maths and English

  • A positive and proactive approach

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)

  • Behaviour and classroom management skills

  • Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)
