Summary

We are recruiting a Retail Store Manager to oversee operations at a busy convenience store that includes an off-licence and an in-store Post Office. This is a unique and rewarding role ideal for someone with strong multi-tasking skills and a commitment to serving the local community.

Key Responsibilities:
Full Store & Post Office Oversight:
Lead day-to-day operations across both retail and Post Office services, ensuring smooth coordination between the two areas.

Team Leadership:
Manage, train, and support staff across retail and Post Office functions to ensure excellent customer service and operational standards are met.

Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure full compliance with Post Office operational guidelines, retail licensing laws, and security procedures (e.g. for cash handling, stamp stock, and data privacy).

Customer Service:
Deliver helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable service across both retail and Post Office counters, resolving customer issues professionally and efficiently.

Stock & Supply Chain Management:
Maintain optimal inventory levels for both retail and Post Office products, manage deliveries, and coordinate with suppliers and Post Office representatives.

Cash & Financial Controls:
Conduct accurate till operations, banking procedures, and financial reconciliation for both store and Post Office accounts.

Candidate Requirements:
Strong leadership and multitasking abilities
High attention to detail and integrity when handling financial transactions
Previous experience in Post Office or similar regulated environment is advantageous
Education: RQF Level 6 or above
Previous management experience is preferred but not essential
Full training will be provided, including Post Office system use and compliance training

Other Requirements:
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
Applicants must not have any unspent criminal convictions
