Summary
Please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification The role involves using an in depth knowledge of research methodology and knowledge of the requirements of local, national and international research regulations. To assist the team leader in leading the team in the provision of high quality, research based, care that is patient focused. To support the team leader in the management and facilitation of the development of staff creating an effective team Facilities in the recently-refurbished Nuclear Medicine Department include three SPECT/CT systems (including one general purpose solid-state CZT system), two inpatient molecular radiotherapy rooms, in-vitro measurement laboratory, and secondary standard radionuclide calibration facilities. There is a close working partnership with local private providers of PET/CT, including active research collaborations. The Nuclear Medicine Physics section has a joint clinical physicist post with the National Physical Laboratory, and has close links with the University of Surrey and active research collaborations with other partners. Guildford is an attractive University town with the hospital situated on the pleasant tree-lined campus with easy access to the south coast, London and the Surrey Hills. The beautiful surrounding countryside is popular for walking and cycling, and includes part of the Olympic cycling route.
