This is a full time role, working 37 hours per week.
Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at one of our college campuses in Weston-super-Mare.
Day to day duties of the role
* Playing an active role in the marketing and promotion of the Specialist Provision within Foundation Learning, with particular emphasis on liaison with external partners, employers, and other key agencies.
* Establishing and developing strong relationships with employers and having a clear commitment to ensuring progress is robustly monitored.
* Developing new placement opportunities and ensuring that communication with employers is timely, effective, and contributes to high employer satisfaction.
* Carrying out a wide range of initial, formative and summative assessments to establish support needs and starting points, which are clearly mapped and track progress through vocational profiling.
Required skills and qualifications
* Relevant successful SEND experience
* Evidence of previous success in gaining employment outcomes with learners with SEND
* A teaching qualification
* Knowledge and understanding of learning difficulties and disabilities and how these may affect the way students learn
