Summary
Please note this is not a Swansea city council job. You will be working with a private client who received direct payments.
A little about myself:
I am an older lady living in Swansea. I have a few health issues, but my Crohn’s disease often flares which requires me to need access to a toilet frequently. This will need be factored into any trips outside the house. I would like a PA with experience supporting someone with a mental illness, to assist me to take a shower and wash my feet. I would also like to go shopping, and to occasional appointment, or for social coffee. I require a stick to walk, and I get tired easily. I May need to be pushed in a wheelchair when fatigued. I enjoy charity shops, cafe’s and watching tv.
Driver required to take me out.

Every Wednesday – 10am-4pm
Rate of pay.

Essential:
I need you to:
• Are patient, caring and trustworthy.
• Have experience supporting someone with a mental illness.
Desirable
I’d prefer if:
• You are a mature lady.
I’d like support with
• Going out in the community.
I will need my PA to:
Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
Be confident, mature and have patience.
Be dependable and arrive on time.
Be friendly with an easy-going manner.
Be adaptable and flexible.
Be supportive but not take over.
Have business insurance on your car to take clients out.
Concerning the position
A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
