Summary

To be a role model and provide supervision of nursing staff under the guidance of the ward manager. To assess patients with cardiac sounding chest pain in A&E in the absence of the outreach nurse and transfer to Papworth for primary PCI when appropriate. Assessment of care needs and developing/implementing/evaluating programmes of care for cardiac patients. Ensure secondary medications are prescribed correctly to all cardiac patients To be up to date with all Statutory training including ILS/ALS To be able to interpret ECGs and recommend treatment for the patient accordingly.
