Summary

About us
An exciting opportunity has come up for the following opportunity in the Specialist Teams Service, Adult Community Social Work.

Senior Practitioners will carry a small complex caseload in addition to assisting the Team Manager with the effective management of the team and support with the following:

Deputising for the Team Manager
Providing management support to duty social workers
Authorisations
Providing case support to the team with an expertise in legal literacy and strengths-based practice
Supervision colleagues
Allocation of cases
Mentoring role
Complex case management
The senior practitioner role is based in the Mental Health 2 Team reporting to the Team manager

The role

Advanced Assessment & Analysis: Skilled in conducting complex assessments, including risk assessments, mental capacity assessments, and safeguarding investigations.

Case Management: Managing high-risk, high-need, or long-term cases with autonomy and accountability.

Safeguarding Expertise: Leading safeguarding enquiries (Section 42), chairing strategy meetings, and supporting multi-agency responses.

Legislative Knowledge: In-depth understanding of legislation such as the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Human Rights Act, and relevant case law.
