Summary
We have an exciting opportunity at CUH Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT department, we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Radiographers or Nuclear Medicine Technologists for a band 6, fixed term post (1 year), based in Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT. Ideally you will already have proven experience in delivering a nuclear medicine and/or PET-CT Service. Additional training if needed will be given if required.
We would also consider a secondment opportunity for applications from internal applicants.
The department has 3 Gamma Camera’s, 1 PET-CT scanner, Radiopharmacy, sample counting and blood labs and we also have access to a cyclotron which provides some of PET-CT’s isotopes and is part of the Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre.
You will be involved in types of imaging that are not carried out anywhere else in the country and in some research instances the world. Due to our close links to the University and the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, we can offer the opportunity to work with the most up to date technology and imaging protocols and be at the forefront of new research and development techniques.
You will have:
1. DCR (R)/BSc in Diagnostic Radiography and or BSc (Hons) Clinical Technology or equivalent.
2. Must have current HCPC/RCT Registration, or in the process of applying for RCT registration.
3. Experience in cross-sectional imaging is desirable; full and comprehensive training will be provided.
Main duties of the job:
1. As a member of a multidisciplinary team, assist in the effective provision and service delivery in the Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT Department.
2. You will be required to carry out a wide range of Nuclear Medicine and some PET-CT examinations and procedures, including research, working both independently and as part of our multi-disciplinary team.
3. You will be required to flexibly and we will consider full and part time hours
4. To attend training courses/ study days where appropriate.
