Each person has their own dedicated team, delivering support that’s tailored specifically to their needs and preferences. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach—it's about making sense for them and making a difference.
Meet *Luke
*Luke is a friendly and engaging young man who enjoys a variety of activities including visiting steam railways, spending time with animals (especially dogs), going to the cinema, walking in the countryside, and preparing food. He’s looking for someone who will support him to enjoy these activities while building his confidence and independence.
About the Role:
As *Luke’s Support Worker, you’ll help provide consistent day-to-day support, both at home and in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
· Daily Living Support: Support *Luke with daily activities, outings, and planning meals and preparing food.
· Community Adventures: Accompany *Luke on outings – especially visiting steam railways, cinema trips and walks.
· Skill Building & Independence: Work alongside *Luke to develop life skills that boost his confidence and self-sufficiency.
· Be a Friendly Confidant: Build a genuine connection with *Luke, providing companionship, encouragement, and a positivity every day.
· Health & Well-being Monitoring: Look out for *Luke’s safety, well-being, and overall happiness, always keeping communication open with his family and care team.
About You:
· Kind and Patient: You are able to provide calm support.
· Comfortable Outdoors: You’re happy to join *Luke on walks and community activities.
· Great Communication Skills: You connect well with *Luke, his family, and the wider team, making sure everyone’s aligned.
· Experience or Keen to Learn: You have experience supporting people with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and/or mental health needs, or eager to develop your skills.
· Driver’s License is Required: For taking *Luke on outings and helping him stay engaged in the community.
