Summary
Main Purpose
To maintain the office premises to a high standard of cleanliness; required to clean all rooms, including Tea points, offices, toilets, client areas, staircases, and all other areas in use.
Duties & Responsibilities
• To be responsible for cleaning certain areas of the site (these areas may vary from time to time to suit the business needs) as allocated by the supervisor in charge.
• To use cleaning materials as instructed by the Supervisor.
• To operate cleaning machinery in cleaning soft and hard surfaces, e.g. vacuum cleaners & scrubber driers.
• To maintain confidentiality in respect of office related matters and to prevent disclosure of confidential and sensitive information.
• Vacuum cleaning hard and soft floors.
• Spot cleaning of spillages.
• Cleaning furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors and door glass, windowsills, skirtings, radiators, walls and any other surfaces within the allocated area.
• Emptying and cleaning waste and recycling bins.
• Cleaning toilets including sanitary fittings and surrounds.
• Mopping, scrubber drying or hard floor surfaces.
• Replenishing supplies in toilets and kitchens, etc.
• Checking and closing windows, switching off lights after work and locking doors.
• Undertake any additional cleaning duties as directed, by the Site Supervisor or Soft Services Area Supervisor.
• All defects/hazards must be immediately reported to the Supervisor.
• To ensure that all Health & Safety procedures are followed, in accordance with company policies.
Skills & Knowledge
• BICSc certification to an appropriate level (preferred but not essential as full training will be given).
• Experience in a cleaning environment, (preferred but not essential as full training will be given).
