Summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS) have established a Corporate Services Strategic Plan which sets out the forward direction of the organisation's property estate and how this will be managed and maintained. This includes working with other public-sector organisations to share properties, embed principles of our property and estates strategy and provide first class facilities and maintenance management across the county.

The Property and Facilities department are looking for a Building Maintenance Supervisor with experience of managing on site technicians to join the team in this exciting phase of team development in preparation to deliver in house facilities management to the upcoming Combined Fire Authority with the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service.

The Building Maintenance Supervisor will manage a team of 8 Building Maintenance Technicians across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to help deliver in house compliance checks, practical training set up and minor repair works across the estate as part of the Property and Facilities team, under the guidance and direction of the Maintenance and Resource Manager, ultimately reporting the Senior Projects and Maintenance Manager.

The successful candidate will have appropriate experience and/or qualifications in the managing a team and preferably have a background in a trade (Electrical, Mechanical, Building Fabric, etc.) or previously worked in a fire and rescue service in a similar role.
