We are looking for an experienced professional to work as part of the HR Talent and Learning team, providing a consultancy service to deliver agency wide talent, learning and capability growth priorities. You will drive and deliver a diverse range of talent and learning activities which will support the agency, ensuring we are growing our own talent to develop the right skills and capabilities for the future.

You will be responsible for delivering Agency wide initiatives such as Apprenticeships, Mandatory Learning, Talent programmes, Leadership Development, and Investors in People to close organisational wide gaps and deliver the People Plan objectives.

As a key role in HR, you will have the opportunity to build strong partnerships and relationships with every part of the Agency, and you will support the wider People Plan during our exciting time of change and transformation.

There is potential that this role will have line management responsibility.

It is essential that you have experience of working in a talent, learning and development environment, developing programmes and initiatives to close strategic business gaps. Understanding trends in the HR profession will be important to you, and with the drive and determination to deliver at pace.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Providing a consultancy service to the organisation ensuring that they receive the most up to date advice and guidance to ensure all of their Talent and Learning needs are met.
  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with Business Managers and Learning and Development co-coordinators as well as the HR Business Consultants and Partners and Strategic L&D Leads from across the organisation, to share best practice for Talent and Learning activity to include Apprenticeships, Work Placements, IiP, Leadership and Management development and Talent Management.
  • Use various sources of information to identify business gaps relating to Talent and Learning needs, develop initiatives, rollout out/deliver/cascade and evaluate to consider continuous improvements.
  • Ensure that the Agency’s learning and development solutions are continually evaluated and improved in line with business needs and targets, through research and best practice.
