4 GCSEs at grade C including Maths and English - Essential
HLTA qualification or equivalent - Desirable
Knowledge
Experience of working with children in a secondary education setting - Desirable
Understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities of HLTAs - Desirable
Ability and confidence to assist pupils with GCSE English in line with learning strategies, national curriculum and exam specification - Essential Experience of basic administrative tasks - Desirable

The successful candidate for this role will:
1. Deliver high quality Maths intervention and relevant programs of learning with individuals and small groups of students, to ensure excellent academic outcomes
3. Prepare and adapt teaching materials, resources and equipment, and assist students in their use
4. Work with teaching staff and leaders, in the planning and evaluation of learning programs for individual students
5. Support students in increasing their self-confidence and independence through encouragement and the effective use of praise
6. Establish supportive relationships with students, staff and parents, acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs
7. Encourage acceptance and inclusion of all students within the school, and to ensure all students have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop
8. Monitor the progress, needs and behaviours of individual students and report these to teachers and leaders as necessary
