Vacancy for the Position of Class Teacher (part time)

Cawthorne’s Endowed School is a small rural school in Abbeystead, on the edge of the Trough of Bowland, Lancashire. The Governors are seeking to appoint a part time Key Stage 2 teacher from November 2025 to teach and care for the pupils as a classroom teacher, compliant with the school aims and in pursuit of high standards of pupil achievement – academically and socially. The school aims to create an environment which stimulates learning, is individually rewarding, dynamic and safe. This post will be for the 2 days in KS2 that the Headteacher is office based and to teach and lead PE to all year groups on another day. Experience of leading of PE is not essential but a passion for leading the subject is desired. (3 days in total)

We are looking for a teacher who:

• ensures pupil entitlement to the national curriculum.
• creates a classroom atmosphere conducive to effective learning.
• helps all pupils achieve and realise their potential.
• ensures that all pupils observe the code of conduct
• will have a 0.6 FTE teaching commitment
