Summary
Clinical Duties: Perform treatment room procedures including: Wound care and dressings Venepuncture ECGs Administration of vaccinations and injections (e.g., influenza, B12, travel) Removal of sutures and clips Assist GPs and Nurse Practitioners in the management of chronic diseases such as diabetes, COPD, and hypertension Provide smoking cessation advice and general health promotion Support cervical cytology clinics (if trained and up-to-date) Ensure accurate documentation of all clinical care within patient records Follow infection prevention and control procedures at all times Teamworking and Communication: Work collaboratively with the wider clinical team to support patient care Participate in clinical meetings and ongoing training sessions Communicate effectively with patients, carers, colleagues, and external agencies Professional Development: Maintain personal NMC registration and participate in annual appraisals and CPD Keep up to date with current practices and policies within primary care nursing Attend mandatory training sessions as required
