Summary
What you'll be working: Our standard working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. What you'll be doing: As a Band 5 SLT, you will: Deliver assessment and 1:1 and group intervention for adults with communication and/or swallowing difficulties arising from neurological conditions. Manage your own caseload with supervision and develop skills in managing a range of conditions, which may include aphasia, dysarthria, cognitive-communication disorder, and dysphagia (with appropriate training). Ensure that patient care is safe, effective, evidence-based, and in line with national guidelines. Work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team, including contributing to goal-setting, therapy planning, and meetings. Provide education and training to families, carers, and members of the team. Maintain high-quality documentation and contribute to measurement of outcomes. Participate in supervision and training opportunities. Engage in service development, audits, and research initiatives as appropriate. This is a developmental role with opportunities for progression, supervision, and mentoring. You will work closely with senior members of the SLT team and benefit from regular learning opportunities as well as CPD.
