Summary
As a valued member of the support team, you will play a vital role in helping pupils with additional needs thrive in their learning environment. Your core responsibilities will include:

Providing tailored support: Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils who may have Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, or behaviours that challenge.

Supporting positive behaviour: Use approved de-escalation techniques and behaviour management strategies-such as Team Teach or equivalent (full training can be provided)-to create a calm, supportive setting.

Delivering personalised interventions: Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), behaviour support strategies, and risk assessments in line with each pupil's needs.

Creating a nurturing environment: Promote a structured, inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports each child's learning and wellbeing.

Working collaboratively: Liaise regularly with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and families to ensure consistent, joined-up support for every child.

Keeping accurate records: Maintain detailed logs of progress, support provided, and any incidents or interventions.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Proven experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs (SEN) and/or behavioural challenges.
